Teaching & Performance

Eastern Market classes
Jake is available for private lessons, and now teaches Thursday evening group classes at the Eastern Market milonga in Washington, DC. Through December 2006, his Thursday schedule is:
7pm - Basic
8pm - Advanced
After December, Jake will return to teaching the 8pm Technique workshop at the same venue. Check TangoDC.com for more dates and details.

Showmanship
In June 2005, Jake began performing tango demonstrations, in bona-fide public, at different venues in the DC-Baltimore area. The variety of locations at which he has performed now includes four inner-city public schools, a retirement home, a few restaurants, some residences, an outdoor concert stage, and a barn. Most recently, he danced alongside other area talents in a commercial shoot for Engine Pictures, appeared at the Kennedy Center with the Sharna Fabiano dance company, and starred in a commercial for Bon Secours hospital in Richmond. |
